    I don't know if/how it's done on a phone, because I don't use the app.
But, here's how it looks on a PC.
Yes, you can intersperse images (and other cool stuff) using your choice of "Text", "Picture", or "Video" posts.

When you are in the Caption field, you can click on the blank field (or just hit the [enter] key for a new line), and you'll see a (+) sign to the left.  Click it, and you'll see all kinds of things you can insert.  (Pun intended.)
(the extra subtitles don't all appear together in real life, I just wanted to show that there's additional options)

After you insert an image, there's a slew of options after that, that I've never really played with to find out what they do.
But, I do know that the blue lines only allow you to change the size of picture (vertical & horizontal simultaneously), but you can change the proportion displayed of the image using that ruler icon.
Bear in mind, though, that inserted images have a maximum width slightly smaller than the maximum width of images displayed normally.  (i.e., there's a margin.)  But, there's no maximum height.

(By the way, if you click away from this submenu, it can always come up again by simply double-clicking the image.)

Someone will play around with the other options, and add to this, I hope.

Thanks much. So I start in either picture or video mode and go from there? I'll give it a try. Will I need to insert a pic or video at the top to start the whole process?

Yes.  In fact, there's 3 types of posts in which inline images can be added; "Text", "Picture" and "Video".

Also, I've discover there's another way to add inline images.  It works the same, but has other text options.
I'm going to explore it and document it all in a follow-up post to this.
But, suffice to say, if you highlight any section of the text typed, you'll see this other way to embellish a posting.

Thanks again. I really appreciate it. I'll look forward to you next post to see what else you might come up with.

I am able to do it. Thanks. Do you know how I can change the order of my posts so the oldest show up first? I ask because I'm going chapter by chapter, so the latest ones are at the top. I'd like it to be the other way around.
