    I've got the same problem. No gifs will upload. I just submitted a request about the problem so lets hope they will solve it...

    Same here - uploads and re-blogs seem to work, but posts using links from other sites don't function - just produce a blank placeholder. I've raised a ticket too.

    So the reason is hotlinking was banned on bdsmlr some time ago.

    I confess to being unclear about exactly what constitutes hotlinking, but I'm confused as the site's functionality for adding a new image still includes the option to paste a photo's URL; why would that still be an option if it was banned?

    I had the impression that pasting an image URL created a copy of the image on BDSMLR's servers (rather than a hotlink to the origin site). If you want to post a BDSMLR image anywhere else, the URL is a BDSMLR URL, not the original one.

    David John I could be wrong. However, what comes to why would the option still be there, I'd say because it's BDSMLR we're talking about.

    They banned hotlinking to reduce server load. Doesn't seem to make much difference. I still get endless loading times and server error pages a lot, but don't expect them to fix this. Like JackNasty says,  it's BDSMLR we're talking about.

    I've had this reply to my ticket:

    "We can confirm that this issue is currently on our side. I have escalated this issue to our devs for them to look into. Please bear with us."

    So they're looking to fix it.

    "Uploading Photo from URL should be fixed by now.
    Thank you for your patience,
    BDSMLR Support"

    As far as I can see, posts from URLs are working normally.

    My mistake - posts from URLs were working briefly a day or so ago, but now it's broken again!!!!

    I've resurrected my ticket on this issue - URL posts direct to your blog seem to be working, but not if you save as draft or add to queue. The developer fix is clearly still a work in progress.

    Latest comment (yesterday) from BDSMLR Support:

    "I understand the issue now. Thank you for providing us the details. There have been issues regarding photo uploads recently and our devs are currently on it. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused you."

    As far as I can see, URL posts direct to a blog are working - but 2 or more images in one post can make the site hang, especially if the images are a good size. Posts via URL to drafts or queue are still not working.

    Hope they crack on with getting this fixed!

    I'm having the same problem just now using Microsoft Edge. I managed to upload the first photo which had a large file size.

    I'm trying to upload another one with a smaller size, but it's just not going through.

    Get it sorted please lads, I know you've got enough on your plate, but with winter coming in the UK I just don't need this.
