Okay, suggesting this is really embarrassing, considering how often bdsmlr have asked us to do that whenever there's been a problem, and how often it didn't change a thing because it was their end the problem arose.  But since this isn't being reported more widely, it may be something not their fault for a change but a local thing, so -  have you tried clearing the bdsml cookies?

I solved my 500 Server Error by changing my blogs theme from '3 Posts Grid' to 'Default' in blog customisation. Now it is visible, other blogs that have that error are probably still on '3 Posts Grid' theme.

Same for me, been almost 2 weeks since this began.

1 out of every 3 sites I visit are showing a 500 error.

Seriously, can you keep this running 1 week without some problem??

@ Tempora Mores. Thanks for that bit of advice, changing the theme from “3 Posts Grid” to “Default”  worked. It also seems to work if you set it to “Responsive” but not “3 Posts Grid.”

Paul Turner Yes, there seems to be something with blogs using the '3 Posts Grid' theme. Perhaps it is more resource intensive to display (more posts are shown at once, 'Default' only show four posts), and BDSMLR have kneecapped it to lessen the server load.

eu1979 If you put /archive at the end of the url of the blogs that you have trouble with, you can visit their archives and see new posts. A complicated workaround, but atleast it is working...

I think that '500 Error' may also occur if the blog being referenced no longer exists.  At least that is what I have surmised.  Maybe I am wrong and one of the reasons above is the cause, but just a sense that I have gotten.

No, every 500- error I have received is a valid site - the solution that works, but it is a pain, is to append "archive" at the end...Tempora Mores recommended this and seems to work.

So, thank you for the solution.

Everything takes more and more clicks to get anything done - processes are broken.

Spoke too soon - same 500 server errors.

They need to find a buyer - they're really bad at this...

I see that the official blog has issued the advice to change themes, and they are said to be working on an update to the theme '3 Posts Grid': https://themunch.bdsmlr.com/post/491361146

This is insane, the old team dealt with such issues in 15 minutes back in the day. One in charge now can't get even the themes working properly. I really don't get these guys.

And in the meantime when bdsmlr can't even get the default ones right, reblogme publishes editor for blog customization.

500 Server errors are worse than ever. Over the past week 2 of every 3 sites I go to have 500 errors.

This is just asinine - you're really bad at this, find another another line of work because you have sabotaged your own freaking site.

Cryptocurrency, my ass - you can't get the fundamentals sorted properly.

I actually got a new one. You click on a blog name on your feed. It opens in the side-feed. Now for months of course all you ever get to see there is about four or five posts. Then, it stops. If you want to see more, you need to open their archive. Okay, some of the time this gives you the famous 500 Server error. But what I found is it can also tell you that "THIS BLOG DOES NOT EXIST".

Awesome. A blog which clearly exists doesn't exist. Yeah, right. What will they think of next? At the risk of repeating my complaint of the past so many months - the one thing you may rely on to work flawlessly is the aggressive and incredibly intrusive ads which, though many requests for clarification have been submitted, "management" simply refuse to discuss.

I'm still getting 500 server errors when I try to access my archive. I've put in numerous tickets and they keep telling me to turn off infinite scroll...I've done that...to both infinite scroll settings...nothing.

    WTF happened to this site?

I came back to bdsmlr with the newtumbl shutdown.

I get a 500 Server Error when trying to show my blog or trying to edit it.

I can access it by adding /archive to the URL.

    Any resolution on this?

    Yes!
As stated, above, it's most likely because of the "3 posts Grid".
    Here's a visual post about it;

If you wouldn't mind telling what your BDSMLR blog name is, we could take a look.
