I don't mind ads, but new tabs/popunders are so 1990's!

Hey folks, like the title says. I'm Ok with in-page ads or side-ads, but spawning new browser tabs or popunder windows, well, c'mon, that's cheesy 1990's web page behaviors. I haven't ran across a web page in years that still pops up ads. I will admit that I don't visit hacking sites or clickbait sites, so maybe that still occurs in the back alleys of the internet. But geeez BDSMLR, you folks are classier than that!

  I concur. It's also sketchy as hell combined with the complete lack of communication from the owners.

  Agreed! I don't mind having ads since it supports the site, which I appreciate.

  However, redirecting ads and new tabs and pop-unders will likely make people start using ad-blockers because that's the kind of stuff that gets people accidentally clicking onto sketchy things.

  I hardly use this platform any more because of this. New ad tabs every time I do anything on the site keeps me from enjoying the experience, crafting my NSFW writing, and connecting with my friends and followers. Even as crippled as it is, Tumblr is a better place than this!
