Constantly opening unwanted pornsite tabs?
I'm fairly patient with the shortcomings of sites like this from past experience, but the constant generation of unwanted tabs that I have to close is a new one for me and I've been waiting for it to stop as the new regime got settled. It hasn't stopped or abated whatsoever. Is this only happening to me?

No, you aren't the only one to whom this has been happening. It's been discussed here in more than one thread for months. People - including myself - have contacted "the new regime" about this. I don't know about others, but I have not had a reply. They haven't publicly uttered a single word on any subject for about three months.
Last they told us was that they were "hiring". Had they been successful I'd expect some sort of announcement including a plan for what they intend to do to fix this site. Common sense suggests they just keep what's left of bdsmlr running to generate some - presumably dwindling - income from their militantly intrusive, tab-hijacking, ad-blocker resistant ads until the last member has left the sinking ship.

Heck this site was better when the old regime was handling it just fine. But it seems that they need help with this site know since there are a whole lot of people that have joined since Tumblr has removed porn from their site. Heck it's going to be a while before they do anything which would be in about 3 to 4 yrs or longer at this rate.

My guess is that those unwanted tabs opening to other sites are one of the ways BDSMLR is using to create income. I think of those as a kind of advertising as it were. Since it is a free site, I try not to mind these nuisances if they help the site from going under. Just my opinion...

These so called "popunders" are the worst kind of ads as they take advantage of the user clicking somewhere and misusing that click to direct them to a different page. I'm fine with ads on the side of my blog or showing up in the timeline, but this is the absolut worst. Especially when I was scrolling through the timeline, try to reblog something only to end up on some weird ass dodgy porn site and loosing the post I wanted to reblog.
I can understand that no website is able to run without any income, but please, for the love of god, get rid of these popunder ads.
