ESET Anti Virus has flagged the front page with a trojan
Hey ESET Anti Virus has flagged a virus on the front page of BDSMLR. Hope this gets fixed soon,

What's remarkable is the official response. There isn't one. Then again, does anyone seriously expect one? Their latest blog entry is from November 17, about allegedly hiring devs. Their github page had an entry on December 7 ("Premium users seeing Ads fix", presumably meaning the rest of us will just have to put up with the aggressively intrusive shit they are forcing on us).
So now "a virus on the front page"? Don't expect them to respond. By the looks of it - and this is interpretation, not statement of fact - they truly don't give a shit.

Torturepain - High time I believe. A site which permits advertisers to hijack the feed and force their way past the most stringent adblocking measures (put in place, in my case, out of sheer self-defence though I would like to permit advertising as a way of generating some income), is NOT to be trusted. I'd call that suspicious, shady and more than questionable. This impression is strengthened by the fact that repeatedly, the "devs" have promised to get rid of aggressively intrusive advertisers, and clearly haven't kept their word. And if, as announced, they have fixed it for premium users though, by implication, NOT for others, then I'd call that deplorable, reckless and contemptuous. Now wonder their membership seems to be dwindling fast.
This is on top of the constant failures the site has been suffering throughout this year. Admittedly, at the moment things seem to have stabilized somewhat (chat appears to be functional, and page-by-page no longer cuts out original content); but we have had to learn that each time you ponder the possibility of heaving a sigh of relief, some new fuckup destroys the mood.
I keep coming back once in a while to see if it's risk-free and productive to carry on here; and while it seems not to be, thankfully there's Newtumbl. Though sterile, cluttered, overly complicated and RAM hungry, it at least does what it says and for me has been functioning without flaws, problems or breakdowns. So I guess you have to weigh whether to make do with a less user friendly site which is there when you need it, or an aggressive, shady fuckup where you can't be sure what virus or trojan you might catch for the privilege of seeing less and less traffic.
Okay, it's been one of my rants - but really I am totally pissed off with these people who've managed to run something into the ground that was working quite well until they took over a year ago.

One for reblogme from here as well. Constant updates, responsive staff and pretty good ios app and it actually works properly.
Found it someone mentioning it here and while it's on the silent side it's been getting considerably more active recently.
In the meantime I don't understand what they're doing here, trojans on front page trying to capture your device is just too much.

Leave out the blanks, I put them in because it seems if you past a weblink here, it'll not get shown unless you're logged in to Zendesk. Don't ask me why, but I posted the info earlier, and while I can still see it when I'm logged in to my Zendesk account, it isn'tt visible to visitors. Another absurdity...

8 days on and still no attempt by bdsmlr to address the Trojan issue. I've submitted a request but no response apart from an auto "We received your message" email.
Sadly, I'm starting to move my content to Reblogme (same name "anuncutman") which at least works and doesn't try to infect my laptop with viruses.
