Blog bans

OK, my blog has been banned.

I am pretty sure, I have not uploaded anything unlawful or against the site's rules. I am relatively sure, that this also applies to my reblogs.

I will not appeal this, as I am fed up with this site's ongoing technical problems, anyway, whilst still wishing this project success.

For the future and for other users, it would be extremely helpful to first warn users about an upcoming ban and the specific reason.

Honestly, laws are there for a reason and I don't want to possess or further spread illegal content.

Perhaps a softcore picture shows a person younger than 18, or another is from, say, a known collection of images published without consent (revenge porn). Obviously, I can't be 100% sure. I'd love to delete such images not only from my blog but also from my hard drive.

I personally think, it's more useful to inform people than to blindly punish them.

My blog was banned about 6 months ago, for no apparent reason.

I appealed it, and after about 2 weeks silence, it was restored, with a vague apology and recognition that it had been done by an algorithm, and not a person. In other words, there was no actual reason.
