Image size being misreported AGAIN...AGAIN...when trying to upload.

Here we go again and again and again... It is obvious they are low on storage space and temporary solutions last shorter and shorter. I would really like to see some permanent fixes instead of those temporary solutions.

it's not that it is misreporting the image. something is wrong in the backend database where there's not enough space to write the file. probably the disk is full. so it says the file is too big because there's not enough space.

    real issue is 'cannot upload'

    still frustrating

cece p Regardless of what you feel the "real issue" is from a technical standpoint, the fact of the matter is that the website is literally telling us an image we're trying to upload is FAR larger than what we know it to actually be.  So whether we say "It's misreporting image size" or we say "There's not enough write space", the bottom line is simply that the website and its mechanics is broken and the folks running it can't seem to figure out something that we don't see from pretty much any other website of this kind.

Many hours later: image posting is still off. But hey, who cares! With page-by-page scrolling deactivated (so that one can see original posts), my feed now does not extend beyond the first ad. This changes when I re-enable page-by-page, but then of course I am no longer able to see those original posts, including any I may make myself (whenever that function actually works).

For months now, we've been told it's all due to bad coding, and that if they correct one piece of it, another may go funny. Okay - in that case: how about taking the site offline for a week or two, getting some people who actually KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING to clean things up, and then going live again? At the moment they keep trying - or so they tell us - to perform complicated open heart surgery while keeping the heart beating. Ask any surgeon whether that's a brilliant idea.

Maybe of course this is just a platform for displaying ads - because the one thing you have been able throughout to count on working is those fucking ads. And actually it is because of the ads that I feel free to complain. They are intrusive, aggressive and extremely annoying, and I do feel that in return for putting up with that, we might expect a platform in working order.

Yes, I am aware that I keep going on and on. It's just the way I am. And if any bdsmlr staff read my rants from beginning to end, let me conclude with your favorite phrase: "Thank you for your continued patience .. "
