Interesting - elsewhere, they claim that the only browser that should be used is Brave. Now it's Chrome. I hate to sound negative - but neither works.

There's an explanation for why neither browser, nor any other, works. It's got nothing to do with browsers. What is has to do with is client side programming. "... we recommend accessing bdsmlr on Google Chrome browser as it works perfectly fine using it" is complete rubbish. They probably make it up as they go along, because if they'd tried Chrome they'd have realized that recommending its use is neither here nor there.

TLDR? Don't tell people to  install this browser or that, it's irrelevant. Just fix what you call " this kind of issue". It's your issue - not a browser thing.

    Of course, this

"We still suggest cleaning cache and cookies constantly to immediately see fixes and updates take effect. Also, we recommend accessing bdsmlr on Google Chrome browser as it works perfectly fine using it."

is complete bullshit - a simple "reload page" is enough.

However, currently the site works pretty fine, and I get new posts as well as reblogs. Firefox and Chrome work both in their desktop (Linux) and mobile (Android) version.

Well you must be privileged by fate - here, the problem persists and is now exacerbated by the site having slowed down to a reluctant crawl, displaying "500 server error" notices half the time.

Simple test - on the feed I enter a new text item "211003-0845 test" and hit "submit". Everything seems fine except that I do not see the text item in my feed. When I go to my blog the item is there - same as a number of text items I entered before.
And - I still see no new posts from anybody in my feed.

But I may have found the error, in the settings:
    - When I select "Hide reblogs from the front page" I only see original posts.
    - When I unselect "Hide reblogs from the front page" I only see reblogs.
    - No way to see both?

Felm Cyber - Thanks for that piece of info! Selecting "Hide reblogs" actually does display original posts, and unselecting that setting makes them vanish again.

So there is a way of seeing one's own -- and anyone else's - new posts in the feed. Since bdsmlr have not yet seen fit to make a statement on this issue, let alone resolve it, it's probably a workaround. But come on!  The way things are going, soon there will no new posts because people are just tired of being told "we're working very hard to fix things but can't give you a time line, thanks for your patience". It's not thanks they expect - after nine months of mayhem,  they want a working platform.

Update - this works better when I do not select "Next and Previous Pages Dashboard (Disable Infinite Scroll)" in settings. Then I actually see both original posts and reblogs. But I do not like that setting because I no longer know where I am in my feed.

Felm Cyber - Again, thanks. That does work. I agree infinite scroll is not as user-friendly as page-by-page, but for now, it does the trick. Well done :-)

Amusingly, this is the exact opposite of the "advice" they posted on their "themunch" blog which expressly recommends disabling infinite scroll. It's all good fun, right?

Thanks to both Felm Cyber and ravenflight! My feed looks better now. Not perfect, but better.

I could be wrong, but this particular problem appears to be fixed.

Bob415845 - I suspect your optimism is unjustified - still not been fixed here ...

    Maybe it is this:

The problem is there if you are viewing the feed from your primary blog.

But there is no problem (and perhaps never was) when viewing the feed of secondary blogs.

Bob415845 - Can't confirm that. Here, it fails to work on sub-blogs as well as the primary one. In both cases, infinite scroll needs to be enabled in Settings for original posts to show in the feed. That's to say - untick "Next and Previous Pages Dashboard (Disable Infinite Scroll)".

What Felm Cyber said is true. (below a copy of the solution for seeing the new posts).

I just posted few things, and in the homepage there were NONE of them. Only reblogs which were "older" as they were reblogged before I posted.

So I tried hiding the reblogs, and now I see the few posts I made on the homepage too, instead of only on my blog.

That's not an issue that can be solved "by using another browser. This is something that is caused by the settings themseves.

But I may have found the error, in the settings:
    - When I select "Hide reblogs from the front page" I only see original posts.
    - When I unselect "Hide reblogs from the front page" I only see reblogs.
    - No way to see both?
