For me, my new posts appear on my page but not on the feed, only the posts I reblogged from other pages.

In fact, there doesn't seem to be any new original posts showing up on my feed from anyone, only reblogs.

Noticed it a couple of hours ago.

Similar problem here. It sort of makes posting pointless, doesn't it. Like my English teacher used to sigh when I made up stories about why I hadn't been able to write that essay: If it's not one thing, it's another ...

After the server error earlier today, my new posts now appear on my page, but still don't appear in the feed.

The best they've been able to come up with - actually not in respect of this specific problem to which no announcement has been made as far as I can tell,  but some of the other difficulties - is to switch off infinite scrolling and using Brave for your browser. Further, they assure us that hard work is being done to remedy the situation. This is followed by a ritual "thank you for your continued patience".

This borders on satire. BDSMLR has been lurching from failure to failure since January 2021. Now, we've all learned that the problems appear mostly to be due to original programming flaws. And in  the past couple of months, improvements have undoubtedly been achieved, and communication restored.

However, these improvements appear to be haphazard and in many cases are, as far as I can tell, not permanent. Even chat - of which we're assured it's working - isn't working reliably. Half the time, messages simply vanish; notifications may or may not be reveived and, once received, don't go away no matter what you do, until you sign out. It's a small gripe maybe, but a gripe it is.

I know of a bunch of people who, in light of all this, have turned their back on bdsmlr. They are tired of being asked to be patient, to dispense with the use of their favorite settings, and to use one particular browser (which in my case doesn't make the blindest bit of difference) - that's like telling a person who has developed a headache from continued fits of coughing simply not to cough. Can you blame them for eventually turning away in search of a real doctor?

This isn't actually a complaint - it's simply pointing out the obvious. And it's so obvious that we might as well stop pretending that all is well with bdsmlr. I'll check in once in a while, sure. But I'm not going to bother with this site any longer - at least until functionality has been restored reliably. The sense of frustration has long outweighed the sense of pleasure with which I used to log in. And that kind of defeats the purpose, right?

I can't even get to my settings! I log in and get errors. If I enter the URL of tghe page directly, it does not give me a settings gear icon...same for tablet and PC. I can't search either...

They must've "fixed" something because I'm back to having the original problem - my new posts only appear in my archive.

I can top that. Not only do new posts still only appear in my archive - the site has become incredibly slow. You can go make yourself a cup of coffee while a page tried to load. And half the time what eventually does get loaded  is a "500 server error" notice. Adds a new dimension to the phrase "thank you for your continued patience", doesn't it.
