Just did some DNS digging, and here's what I've found.  (It doesn't provide a solution, but, at least, defines the problem.)

Presently, all the subdomains resolve to the IP address 51.159.57.162 (which is just some non-functioning dedicated server at a French datacenter - probably just a placeholder).

Further digging, I found that the previous IP addresses for *.bdsmlr.com subdomains was 104.20.54.244 & 104.20.55.244, which are, of course, Cloudflare addresses.

I thought this might just be a DNS misconfiguration (even though the DNS, itself, is at Cloudflare), so I tried both addresses in my \etc\hosts file.  No luck.  I got Cloudflare's "521 server is down" message.

Admittedly, this still might be a simple misconfiguration, somewhere, but it's more likely that Cloudflare is having some sort of issue with bdsmlr.  Billing?  Content?  Who knows.

In case anyone in charge is reading this, a good temporary fallback might be letting everyone have access to every; https://bdsmlr.com/blog/{blogname} - instead of folks just being able to access only their own.

PGHQ, you are exactly right.  No one is watching, nobody cares, not even to communicate.  People put hard work into their blogs; they support the site; the are the basis of advertising; and this is how they're treated.

Nobutnotnu provides new evidence that this board possesses more expertise and concern than the whole staff of bdsmlr -- if there is a staff.  I wonder if the ad revenue has fled because of the recurrent proof of incompetence, and there is now no one at home.

As of 1700 PDT, still not up.  The general bdsmlr.com  page brings up what it should, but can't get to anyone's blog.  I've spent a little time on newtumbl today, but I'm still not particularly fond of that site.

    Same here in Belgium/Luxembourg.
Not possible to access any blogs except the main page on a navigator.
Not possible also to log in the latest (and really old) android application (asking the credentials then do nothing when pushing the login button)
Cache and application data have been purged but it makes no difference.
Hope someone in the (ghost) team will take the issue(s) in account and do the necessary to get the blogs back.
At least they can post a status on one of the channels instead of just doing a poll on the main page to know if we're top bottom or switch.
Regards to all and thanks for your great blogs.

Their no one on skeleton crew can afford a minute to give us an update on the main page that they're aware of the problem and are working on it, but if there's a dom/sub identity crisis you know they'll be fucking on it.

Looks like it is fixed now.

Just as an FYI, the staff seems to come online around 7am UTC, so around 7:30 UTC is when these kind of problems tend to get fixed.

Same problem here in Germany. I had not realised until I read this post, because I haven't looked at blogs for about 20 hours - just used the Dashboard.

Looks OK now (0940 BST). By the way, downloading videos (.mp4) has been much better all through this!

The subdomains have always resolved to a French IP. The dash is served through CloudFlare -- one IP in CA, one in VA.

I didn't ask for details on the subdomain problem. I suspect something it was something silly like the web server wasn't running on the French host or a bad nginx proxy configuration that didn't get caught in in-house testing.

(In the past I've tried playing with my local bind installation to see if it would some issues. I was able to get the cdn05/cdno05 issue fixed for me, but was unable to speed up chat times by bypassing CloudFlare. Just changing the hosts file doesn't work for this, since all of the cdn* servers resolve to the same (CloudFlare) IP. Come to think of it, I should go check cdn05... Aaaand it would seem that all cdn05 are now broken, not just some. All of the images are still there as cdno05, though.)
