some images are webp despite having them turned off

For example, this post:

I find that clicking "view image" leads to a supposed .jpg, but when I save it, it is identified as a webp, because that's actually what it is.

  Image is very much a gif, however you more than likely have .webp in your browser's cache. Please try to clear your browser's cache and try again then.
