    Haven't been able to see any posts on my home feed for about 2 weeks now. I've tried all the settings and whatever else I can think of. Other feeds and my blog are fine, it's just my home feed that won't do shit. What's the deal?

    I click on to add a picture, text, or link, and my whole screen goes to a transparent grey and will stay that way until I refresh the screen; this happens in chrome and edge.

    Hi. Blog is Mallens, email is maurice.serico@gmail.com, using Samsung Internet on a Samsung Galaxy Tab A. A lot of videos and images don't load. Often get a black circle with an exclamation mark or the video arrow just continues cycling. Grateful for any help.

    It could be this website, it could be your connection, it could be your device.
    Let's try to narrow it down.

    First thing to try, go to reblogme.com.  It's pretty much the same software (same company, as a matter of fact), but since it's not as heavily used, its videos and images aren't prone to the same problems as here.
    (If you don't have an account there, you'd have sign up for one.)

    Search for videos, there, and see if the same thing happens.  If it does, that chances are it's your device, your browser, and/or your connection.

    Then we'll try to diagnose from there.

    Na verdade, todo usuário BDSMLR está passando por isso. Na verdade, está sendo discutido aqui; https://bdsmlr.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/9179142946844

    Este é um problema comum aqui quando um servidor de imagem (neste caso, "ocdn012") fica cheio.

    Enviei um ticket de suporte e eles estão cientes do problema. Quando isso aconteceu no passado, leva alguns dias para que eles façam o que quer que façam para abrir espaço no servidor de imagens.

    Enquanto isso, você pode contornar temporariamente esse problema acessando https://bdsmlr.com/settings e alternando isso;

    ---

    Actually, every BDSMLR user is experiencing this.  In fact, it's being discussed here; https://bdsmlr.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/9179142946844

    This is a regular problem here when an image server (in this case, "ocdn012") gets full.

    I submitted a support ticket, and they are aware of the problem.  When this has happened in the past, it takes a few days for them to do whatever it is that they do to make room on the image server.

    Meanwhile, you can, temporarily, work around this problem by going to https://bdsmlr.com/settings , and toggling this;

    No matter what I do, I cant change my background or my banner. Background turns the site white, and the banner just plain doesnt show up. What gives? Seems this has been a problem for a long time, is the site abandoned?

    Can you tell me your blog name, so I can look to see what's going on?

    Also, bear in mind that the banner image takes some tweaking of the CSS to appear.  (Below, here,  is documented how to do this.)

    Banners/Header images have been broken for years due to a css issue.

    However recently they have been even more broken due to a cdn issue. This issue has effected background images also!

    The same issue was happening for avatars but staff have fixed this. (Meaning they are actively fixing issues.)

    To fix background with css use:

    body{
    background: url(BACKGROUND-URL) no-repeat top fixed !important;
    }

    replace BACKGROUND-URL with an image url

    for a css fix for banners/header image use:

    .pub-blog-header::after{
      content: url(BACKGROUND-URL);
        position: absolute;
        top: 26px;
        left: 0;
        right: 0;
    }

    replace BACKGROUND-URL with an image url

    For anyone who knows css:

    The using of "::after" is due to bdsmlrs current inline style which uses "!important".... this is impossible to overwrite. So instead I used a peusedo element to cover over the top of it.

    I have been having the same issue the below quoted user is having. I've had the issue for a couple weeks. My home page won't load. Other blogs, my own blog, they all work; my home page/news feed will not. I have a 2nd blog (same account) whose home page works just fine. Is there some way to clear the home page cache and get my feed working again?

    The ongoing issue where feeds will not load can be fixed 3 ways depending on the issue.

    1. Unfollow any one you are following that has "Never been updated" in the followers list
    2. Turn off infinitive scroll in settings.
    3. Clear cookies and cache on your browser.

    Seeming your feed is working on a secondary blog I would suggest your fix will be 1 of the first 2 ways.

    Someone you're following must have a "stuck post" (I'll explain that momentarily).
    If you go to https://bdsmlr.com/following , and click on everyone who has updated recently, you can determine whom and, temporarily, unfollow them.

    "Stuck post";
    I imagine, in the database, that the posts have a "prev" and "next" link to them.  If/when a post is deleted (usually by the user), then their's a function to update that.  But sometimes a post is removed "harshly" - like deleted for DMCA purposes.  Or, maybe, is deleted in a way that the database misses it, and doesn't update the "prev" and "next" links.  Or, worse yet, puts a zero in one of those values.

    If that post happens to be freshly in your feeds, then the software gets a https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Division_by_zero error, and just stops, altogether.

    Step 1 didn't change anything, but I did catch and delete all Update Never unfollows.
    Step 2 fixed it right off the bat. Awesome suggestion and thank you!
